OUR OPINION

This inviting hotel is named after the Arabic, “hot wind of Africa”,  and is perfectly located amongst San Vito Lo Capo’s shops, bars and restaurants but only few steps from one of Sicily most stunning white sandy beach and the azure blue sea.

Family run, the Ghibli is a charming hotel with just seventeen bedrooms.

A cosy but elegant restaurant leads out onto a courtyard-garden, where guests and many locals can appreciate some delicious local cuisine, including the famous couscous made with fish.

The wonderful Zingaro Nature Reserve is only 10 kilometer drive away, it can be explored on foot or by boat from San Vito Lo Capo.

The Ghibli is also a good base for discovering Western Sicily, particularly Erice, Segesta, Castellammare, Scopello, and the Egadi islands.
 

The restaurant ''Profumi di Cous Cous'' offers its diners a cuisine full of flavours that are, as the geographical position of San Vito lo Capo, a delightful balance between land and sea.

The local cuisine is well known for its various tasty dishes based on fish, and it is flavoured not only by its close proximity to the sea, but also by the influence given to it by the Arabs.

The 17 rooms, including some with sea view and one suite are divided between the ground floor and first floor and some have names inspired by the street of San Vito.

The rooms are in Sicilian style. All are equipped with superior comfort.

San Vito Lo Capo arguably Sicily's best beach

San Vito Lo Capo on Sicily's west coast facing the Aegadian islands, huddled in the shelter of the bay between the Zingaro Nature Reserve to the west and the Mount Cofano Nature Reserve to the east, it's sure an highlight of any holiday in Sicily.

It is certainly one of the best seaside locations of Italy, recommend a particular stretch of beach is impossible, one is as good as another, and all are delightful.
