Hotel Villa Angela
(Taormina)
During the 1995 tour of the rock group Simple Minds, Jim Kerr, leader of the famous Scottish group, arrived on this island of the Mediterranean and fell in love desperately not only with Taormina, the most romantic destination, but also with the warmth of the Sicilian people and their passion for life.
In line with this vision, every material used for the construction of Hotel Villa Angela is authentic and typical of the area. The stone Taormina, for example, was used to build the entire hotel.
The decor in wrought iron and traditional furniture, made with local chestnut wood, are also examples of the extraordinary Sicilian craft present in Villa Angela.
The ceramics of Caltagirone could not be missed that, in all forms and varieties of color, mix with modern luxury, creating the atmosphere of old Sicilian aristocracy that marks the hotel.
Moreover, this elegant 4-star hotel in Taormina is in perfect harmony with the lush nature that surrounds it, thanks to the generous size of terraces in each room.
Through the huge windows you can relax contemplating the magnificence of the surrounding landscape that also includes the swimming pool, a sun terrace and a sumptuous restaurant where a delicious Sicilian breakfast is served during the sunrise over Mont Etna. To complete it all, 50 species of plants including olive, carob, citrus and almond among the most fragrant in the world.
