The Iblea region is a highland rising from the Catania plane expanding Southbound and Eastbound to reach the shore.
Within easy drive starts the “string of jewels” that comprises the Baroque towns of Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Scicli, Noto, Ispica, to name but a few, with some of the most exquisite and undiscovered Baroque buildings and churches of Europe.
This golden thread of architecture makes for lovely daily excursions and explorations – or simply for a lunch in the sun to taste the delicious local delicacies.
The area also offers numerous golden sandy beaches set in their beautiful coves, one of the last undiscovered parts of Europe where you can pick and choose your own “private beach” – perhaps a different one each day!
Save the best for last and spend three days in timeless Syracuse. Already defined by Cicero, "the largest and most beautiful of all Greek cities," from 2005, along with the necropolis of Pantalica rock, it has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO.
