OUR OPINION

Relais Parco Cavalonga is located in Sicily's south east coast in the centre of a region known as Iblea.

The area is characterised with long sandy beaches, a transparent blue sea, archaeological and naturalistic sites and the Unesco baroque towns of the Val di Noto.

This charming hamlet is set in an eighteen hectares park of olive groves and century old carob trees.

It  is composed of fifteen rooms in the main building and seven independent stone houses

The accommodation was recently refurbished using local stones and materials blending the original look with a fresh contemporary design.

Two infinity swimming pools with sweeping views across the Sicilian countryside complete the offer for a relaxing stay.



The Parco Hotel Cavalonga offers its guests a lavish buffet breakfast with typical Sicilian foods (cheeses and cakes) with hot meals made to order.

A good selection of restaurants is found 3km away in Donnafugata or on request lunch and dinners with typical foods can be arranged at the property.



Relais Parco Cavalonga offers accommodation in 15 charming double bedrooms and 7 independent cottages, furnished in contemporary design filled with light have panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Relais Parco Cavalonga is located in the Iblea region of Sicily, near to Ragusa. The nearest airport is Catania Fontanarossa.

The area is ideal for a holiday combining nature, excellent food and historic towns, within a 20 minutes drive it is possible to reach the baroque towns of the Noto valley: Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Scicli, Noto, Ispica.

Only 8 km away from the resort there are numerous sandy beaches set in beautiful coves.

The closest beach is Kamarina, named after the ancient Greek town which was built in the area. Close by is the long sandy beach of ''Punta Secca''.

Marina di Ragusa, a 40 minute drive from Cavalonga, is the best known beach resort of the area with a lively night life.

A day trip allows visiting a wide range of picturesque cities: Syracuse, Agrigento e Selinunte, Piazza Armerina, Catania, Taormina.

Trekking, Horse riding, and cycling tours can be organized in the areas around Cavalonga or in the nearby Aleppo Pine Nature Reserve.
