Aegadian Islands Hotels and Holiday
Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo, these are the three ingredients for a perfect holiday recipe.
Favignana is the largest island and the first point of arrival by ferry or hydrofoil. Favignana is the island that offers the greatest vitality, relative to the peace that is normally enjoyed on the archipelago.
The ideal and best way to know Favignana is without doubt by bike. The island is largely flat, with the exception of Mount St. Catherine, and it's perfect for cycling around to discover the most beautiful and secluded bays around the island. The beaches of Cala Azzurra and Lido Burrone will amaze you with the transparency of its water and the beauty of its rocky coves.
Levanzo is the smallest but not the least interesting of the Aegadian Islands. There are no roads on Levanzo, making this island all the more interesting for it with its picturesque white houses and colorful fishermen boats.
Marettimo is the most remote island of the archipelago, from here the leap to Tunisia is quiet short, only 70 miles! The entire coast of Marettimo maintains its wild character, making it the most peaceful corner of Sicily, and it's excellent for a holiday in contact with nature exploring the many caves, each with their own characteristic colours, light and charm.
