Since 1991 the national park was established , the second largest in Italy and one of the most important on the Mediterranean coast.
This corner of Campania, extend between the Gulf of Policastro and the Alburni Montains, it has been a point of encounter and exchange in the middle of the Mediterranean since ancient times.
