OUR OPINION

Villa Garofanella is an independent villa in the picturesque hamlet of Nerano on the Sorrento Peninsula, only 600 metres from its small centre with shops and bars.

The property has been recently refurbished and is composed of one living room with open plan kitchen and two double bedrooms with en suite.

From the main gate you enter inside the villa through some stairs leading to a covered and furnished terrace and garden boasting a wonderful sea view.

Guests can enjoy ''al fresco '' dining in the garden of the villa or relax by the pool while enjoy the splendid vistas.

Guglielmo who maintains the Villa is very helpful without being intrusive and can help organise excellent boat trips (available from Marina Del Cantone) to Capri and Amalfi and Positano.

Villa Garofanella has a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher but for those who don’t like cooking while on holiday, Nerano offers a number of opportunities for great dining.

About 300 meter from the Villa we recommend the restaurant Dolce Far Niente, managed by the villa owner.  It offers homemade food with the freshest ingredients and it’s possible to arrange a half board solution.

Otherwise along the beach of Marina del Cantone (1.8km) there is a good choice of restaurants including the Michelin Star Restaurant Quattro Passi.

The Villa is 600m from the centre of Nerano.

Nerano overlooks the Gulf of Salerno between the Bay of Jeranto and Recommone.

Boat trips are available to the most popular coves of the coast, as well as to the isle of Capri, Positano and Amalfi.

The beach of Marine del Cantone is reached from the Villa with a 20 minutes’ walk through a wonderful panoramic pedestrian path (1.8km), or few minutes by car where you will find a parking area.

Nerano distances 8 km from Massa Lubrense, 13km from Sorrento and 24km from Positano.
