OUR OPINION

This 17th century palazzo reveals its charms in a discrete manner in the historic centre of Follina, a picturesque village on the venetian pre-Alps.

Tranquil and intimate, Villa Abbazia, enjoys a particularly favourable position on the Prosecco Route between the romantic splendours of Treviso and Venice.

All of the palazzo’s bedrooms and suites are splendidly decorated exuding the ambiance of an English country manor.

Meticulous care is found into every tiny detail, including the fresh flowers and individual breakfast china, which reflects the color scheme of each room.

Rooms, a number of which with private balconies, have delightful views of the 13th century Abbey or the hotel's gardens.

The Villa is surrounded by excellent places to dine, including its own restaurant, La Corte, offering the opportunity to savor the very finest Italian and local dishes. Meals are served in a marvellous frescoed dining room or al fresco in the candlelit courtyard.

The surroundings are rich in medieval villages and Palladian villas, most appealing for lovers of art and architecture.

The hotel has several possible locations for fine dining.

The main dining room is resplendent with a magnificent fresco representing some of the most important local history.

The ‘Ladies Room’ is the perfect venue for a romantic candlelit dinner after an aperitif at the 'Tree Room’.

The ‘Fountain Room’ has an atmosphere typical of a lavish winter garden, whilst on the warm summer evenings, outside in the internal courtyard, by flickering candle light, guests can enjoy the finest of dining, surrounded by the sweet perfume of summer flowers, under a canvas of brilliant starlight.

The products served in the restaurant of Villa Abbazia are mostly of organic origin and come from local farms.
 

The rooms of the Relais & Chateaux Villa Abbazia is characterized by the creative design of the interiors, with attention paid to every detail.

In the bedrooms, particular attention has been paid to the choice of exquisite bed linen and the softest of bath sponges.

The Spring of Prosecco wine 26 February 2010 - 2 June 2010

The Spring of Prosecco is the main wine tourism event of the whole Veneto, crossing the italian broders and attracting also international wine lovers.

Started with the intention of bringing fans and tourists to the birthplace of prosecco, this event, now on its fifteenth edition, presents over 400 wine producer of small and medium size participating in 17 exhibitions.

In addition to the 17 shows where you can taste wines DOCG and local products, it's possible to admire the surrounding landscape with special walks or bike rides organized with the help of local guides.

Furthermore, this year the event is combined with the "Cima da Conegliano - Poet of the landscape" collection  because even the arts and local culture are a special way to get in touch with the colorful world of Prosecco.

Typical local products together with wines are the protagonist of this festival that takes place in a territory with ancient castles, abbeys and vineyards on hills and with beautiful sceneries.
