A converted 16th-century Venetian palazzo right on the Grand Canal, Palazzo Barbarigo is a sumptuous boutique hotel blending modern comfort with a distinct art deco style.

The hotel has 18 rooms, each with its own unique character, design and layout.

Among them, some junior suites look out on the Canal Grande, but also luxury and classic rooms have a side view on the romantic Rio San Polo.

All rooms have a double bed, flat screen satellite TV, air-conditioning, telephone, mini-bar, safe, marble or stoneware bathrooms with shower and hair-dryer.

Moreover, rooms on the ground floor have black marble floors, while the others on the first floor have parquet.

The main feature of the rooms of Palazzo Barbarigo is that they all have a view over a canal.

Nine rooms, three situated on the ground floor and the rest on the first floor, all enjoy side views over the canal of Rio San Polo.

• Luxury Room

Three luxury room also facing the canal of Rio San Polo are furnished in the same style as the classic  but larger and have an additional small sofa bed (70cm x 165cm) ideal for young children.

• Junior Suite

The 6 junior suites epitomise the very best in comfort and refinement, enhanced by their magnificent views over the Grand Canal.

The 1920s-feel lounge bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a few martinis or expertly mixed Barbarigo cocktails - inside, it's all black velvet sofas, smoky mirrors and upholstered wall panels.

The hotel offers complimentary wireless Internet access throughout.
